OnCall Shifts

Enable the setting OnCall Management from the tab Settings > ShiftPlanning. Once enabled, managers will see a Phone icon next to employee name within the Shift Edit Window.

Click a shift to open the Shift Edit Window.


Shifts that has On-Call staff scheduled will have a phone icon on them, making it easier for managers and employees to distinguish from the regular shifts.


Employees are notified via email when they are put On-Call.

As long as the shift status is On-Call, neither the shift is shown in any report nor the hours are reported against that shift. Therefore, once a shift is confirmed, open the shift to assign it to the employee.
